Linuxcnc lathe threading problem was created by rohit269
Sir,
I am converted mach3 lathe to linuxcnc lathe and also change spindle rpm sensor disc (16 slot) and this linuxcnc lathe not make threading correctly and the thread has been always damaged and I am also attached files please see files and tell how to solve this problem.
Many thanks,

if you want to run LCNC reliably, do not use a parallel port and buy a mesa card. 7i96 or 7i76e for example. However, if you want to find an error on the parallel port at all costs, you need to find out if the steps on the encoder or on the Z axis are lost or both.
Make an empty thread a few times and then measure whether the spindle and axes return to the home position.

You need a once-per-rev index as well as the 16 pulses. (Or, in the development version, there is an option to use missing-tooth index)

I don't see any evidence of an index, you seem to have only one sensor and 16 slots. So the system does not know when to start the threading pass.I am converted mach3 lathe to linuxcnc lathe and also change spindle rpm sensor disc (16 slot) and this linuxcnc lathe not make threading correctly

Many thanks for supporting me,
Sir I am already connected spindle sensor single output into two pin 11 and 12 for index and Spindle phase A but thread always damaged.

i used omron quadrature encoder.
It have A,B & Z phases.
Easy to connect.

The index must be once-per-revolution. My impression is that you have 16 indexes per revolution?Sir I am already connected spindle sensor single output into two pin 11 and 12 for index and Spindle phase A but thread always damaged.
