I just installed a new spindle encoder on my cnc lathe and the cable that came with it is about 2 meters long rolled up, I just wired it up like that and it works, should I shorten the cable it only needs to be about 8 inches long or will it be fine as it is. just not sure if it throws anything off when its that long.
