Very new to this, just installed LinuxCNC 2.8  Debian 10  and hooked up the Mesa 7i97 to computer with ethernet cable.
I can ping card on 192.168.1.121 and 10.10.10.11 but when I run mesaflash --device 7i97 --addr 192.168.1.121 --readhmid
I get mesa 7i97 not found error, ols help asap.

The PC's IP address is wrong, it should be anything but 121 at the end.
121 is Mesa boards address.
Where did you find the info about setting it to 121?
We have to remove that info as it is wrong and causing confusion.
