I noticed that the new Hal configurations no longer require a component count i.e., loadrt pid 5 … that is a great progress.
How about doing away with thread functions ‘addf’ since most of the configurations are now connected only to servo-thread and the odd ones can be overed manually?

Are you referring to allowing NAMES as well as COUNT on more components?
i don't believe COUNTS was removed.
addf is probably not going to disappear as it allows you to select order of component running as well as which thread speed it uses.
