File Attachment:

File Name: facing.ngc
File Size:1 KB

I gat this message
Linear move on line 30 would exceed joint 2's positive limit
invalid params in linear command

The machine can do N20 G53 G0 Z0. at line 10
but it can not do N115 G53 G0 Z0. at line 30

this is bit bizarre, can someone shed some light on this?
thanks

Thanks mate it looks like it did the trick.
Any idea how I can get this done automatically in Fusion360 post processor?

I might answer my self. Maybe I am right maybe not
I set Safe Retracts to Clearance Height in post processor and that seems to do the trick.

Is this correct-ish? or is there any better way?

Well well well it worked few times but now I am getting:

Linear move on line -1 would exceed joint 2's positive limit
invalid params in linear command

What the hack is line -1 ???

It could be something to do with Manual toolchange.
to get the second run I have to do dummy tool change

What are your soft limits for joint 2? Specifically is the soft limit equal to Z0? It is usually best to have a little space between the limits and the home position.

Todd. Is correct. This issue seems to go away when the min limit for z is less than 0. I normally set it to -5.

Right, that makes sense actually. I will give it a try tomorrow (hopefully or as soon as) and report back.
Thank you
