How to parallel port stepper motor driver board was created by wang
Before I successfully built a machine tool environment, I used Ethercat to control the laser machine tool and used servo motors.
Recently, I had an idea to use the parallel port board to control the stepper motor to build a common processing machine tool, but I don't know how to choose the parallel port board. I found a stepper motor driver board that supports mach3 software on the e-commerce platform. Parallel port is supported. But I don't know if linuxcnc can be supported, so come to ask?
This is it
Please let me know if this is feasible, or recommend other product links to me, thank you.
Also I would like to ask a question, can I use a USB-to-parallel cable if my PC doesn't have a parallel port?

Yes, that board works with LinuxCNC.
Parallel ports built into motherboards work, add on PCI and PCI-E some work some do not.
