I am not aware of it ever existing.
EMC2 was the old project name.
Not sure if the Ubuntu 8.04 ISO can be found anywhere, but also not sure if you are looking for it, so more info would help.

I don't see EMC1 in linuxcnc.org/archives/ but I'm sure it's out there somewhere... I still have a BDI disk somewhere which I think is EMC1.

I am fully aware of BDI, but i was not aware it was named EMC1. :(

I have BDI EMC ver 2.20, looking at the docs it was simply called EMC with no number based on the original NIST Enhanced Machine Control project.
