I moved the HDD to a 'new' computer and I get an error, such as
'UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY'
'fsck died with exit status 4'
The last line of the error says; 'sulogin: root account is locked, starting shell'

The command line then chuggs along for quite some time (see 2nd photo)... something regarding the mouse and this goes on for something like 19 times.  I reboot when it's finished (ctrl d) and when it reboots, the whole thing starts over again.

Other HDDs boot fine (Windoze 7 and LCNC 2.8.2 rtai Buster)

(btw, 2.8.2 Buster loads fine, but I have not yet got a working config.  But that's another question. 2.7.15 WAS working)

Last edit: 24 Apr 2022 15:01 by muzza. Reason: second image didn't load

Set the date and time in BIOS, then when it gets to that screen:
fsck -y /dev/sda

I replaced the cmos battery, changed the date and it booted up properly.

Cheers
