installing linuxCNC: no request for a user was created by claytoncramer
When you install linuxCNC, it asks you for a bunch of typical linux install stuff: time zone, keyboard, language, root password, and user name. When installing under VMWorkstation, I get none of those requests. It starts up without a login.

It _shouldn't_ ask for a root password. (it causes a problem down the line). But that is just an aside.
VMWare (optionally) auto-fills the installer before you even see it (I think). If so, it's an option you can turn off.
