Halshow + HalReport was created by robertspark
I was having a look at Halshow and noticed that if gives a comprehensive list of all hal pins etc.
I then ran halreport and noticed that it just seems to list the connected pins or those that were being utilised / expecting an input or output.
The simple question is: is there any way to get the detail of halshow in a printable document?
The more detail bit is because I've changed my Mesa 7i76 to mode 2 (sserial_port_0=20xxxx) (i.e. the 2xMPG pins are available) and hence when I run halshow the enc0.count etc etc are available.
but when I run hal report I don't see the enc0 (or 1).count and other associated pins (scale etc etc) as they are obviously not connected to anything yet.
Hence I was just wondering if there was a way to export what halshow sees / has available or more fully than halreport does.
Thanks,

Does this generate a list you have in mind?
halcmd show pin > HAL_pinlist.txt

halreport (maybe I confused things with my camel case).... thought it would emphasise the purpose.

(I found the file when tidying up for the 2.8 release and wrote a basic manpage then. Up to then it was just sat there hiding)
