PlasmaCam on LinuxCNC

any plasmacam users on here utilizing LinuxCNC on a Plasmacam controller/table or modifield

Looking to get a PlasmaCam tableworking Looking for best option    I do not have OEM software at this time

I will need to buy or make a interface cable     Hope to find someone who has been there before   

 

There is a user here islander261 who did crack the proprietary plasmacam serial commands. He did publish some documentation about it on th eplasma spider forum.


He subsequently discarded the plasmacam motion stuff and adopted linuxcnc. A lot of the plasmac features come from his work including the relay ohmic circuit in the plasma primer. 

Thanks for the info I am looking in to using a new controller and faster computer
I am filling in some gaps of how all this works out and new upgrade options

Just looking at all options I have not called PlasmaCam yet I will have to see how that goes. I am not sure what software package was with this machine at this time but should find out in the near future.
