martzis usb hid interface was created by COFHAL
This card is no longer supported by linuxcnc? Apparently a long time ago if I had a HAL to use it in linux EMC.

I have never heard of it but according to this:

it uses the "hal_input" component which seems to be still included in LinuxCNC.
So I don't see why it should not work.
edit: As it's connecting through the USB port you will only want to use this for signals that are not time critical.
