Hey Folks,

I've some trouble with linux cnc. I'm using Linuxcnc 2.8.2 and the GUI axis. I'm also use MESA Cards 5i25 and 7i76 and 7i85s. Im also using Leadshine Servos. The system works sofar quite good. Accuracy is usually arround 2-3/100mm .

Ive got the trouble that when I load a large g-Code like 6mb. then the reaction from Linuxcnc is extrem slow. When I press the Arrows to move for example my x-axis it usually takes a few seconds before the x-axis start to move. The same when I realese the Arrow key.  When I start the g-code I think everything works good (all dimensions are fine), but the screen is always a few seconds late. Thats quite dangerous. If I unload the large g-Code everything works fine again. And response from linux is instant.

I remember that I installt the Probescreen v2 from verser last year. When I opend the Axis Gui with the probe screen I got the same problem like discriped. - It ended that I'm not using the Probescreen (also had some other problems).

Also the response error occurs when I use my home build usb Handwheel.

So now my question is. am I right that my pc has the trouble with the bad latency.I Should I switch it? Is there a soulition to get rid of these error. while using my current pc? I assume that there are problems with the HID. But I have no clue. how i can get rid of them.

Would be great if someone can help me!

Best regards!
Jasper

When you have really large Gcode files, it may be better to disable the backplot
as the backplot causes most of the user interface delays.

Also if you use hardware jog buttons or MPGs these will not be affected by
user interface delays.
