DEFAULT_VELOCITY or DEFAULT_LINEAR_VELOCITY

Hello,
I see on exemples files when I installed linuxcnc:
DEFAULT_LINEAR_VELOCITY
MAX_LINEAR_VELOCITY = 8
DEFAULT_LINEAR_ACCELERATION = 50
MAX_LINEAR_ACCELERATION = 50

in the documentation threre a constants:
— DEFAULT_VELOCITY
— DEFAULT_ACCELERATION 
— MAX_VELOCITY 
— MAX_ACCELERATION

Is that same things ?
