fanuc dc power supply. was created by M4MazakUser
The cnc im rebuilding has a fanuc power supply that im using for a dc supply to my 8i20, however, (besides the fact that it has been 4m underwater) when i power it up it measures 320v dc at the dc terminals. With a 2.4kw heating element connected to it it measures 300v dc while the 8i20's can handle this and I believe the fanuc servo motors should be ok (they are rated at 185v)
I would like to know if anyone is using one , and can get it out of "1" fault mode. Obviously it isn't connected to anything else be it servo or spindle drive, they were optic anyway and can't be interfaced to 'nixcnc.
Its a 2004 model control, "ai" series.

Are you concerned that the voltage is higher than you expect? It actually sounds right to me for rectified 240V.
My 8i20s have been running on simple rectified 240V for 12 years or more.

Thanks, I'd considered it was rectified 220v, and just wanted confirmation that it didn't seem too far above motor spec. Though this power supply was originally with these motors.
