Some time ago I read something here in the forum about controlling FESTO valve terminals.

Who can tell me where I can find that?

Thanks!

If you are referring to the valve blocks connected by Profibus then this could be it:

Also, RotarySMP uses Festo valves on his lathe, but i think those are normal valves with on/off control, not serial or anything-bus.
Not sure though...

./profibus.hal:17: execv(pyprofibus-linuxcnc-hal): No such file or directory

seems that it can't find the file 'pyprofibus-linuxcnc-hal'. Are you sure the file is where you are telling it to look (ie the path set in 'profibus.hal') ?

yes the file "pyprofibus-linuxcnc-hal" is in the same place as the file "linuxcnc-demo.ini

this is the line 17 in the "profibus.hal"
loadusr -Wn profibus pyprofibus-linuxcnc-hal pyprofibus.conf

Not sure, maybe try with absolute paths. ie /home/<your-path-here>/pyprofibus-linuxcnc-hal

It's trying to execute pyprofibus-linuxcnc-hal. Is it an executable file?

make sure that 'pyprofibus-linuxcnc-hal' is the actual file name (ie no extension)
If it got saved as pyprofibus-linuxcnc-hal.py (ie with extension) it won't be foundl.

I find it useful sometimes to use 'cat' in the terminal:

$ cat /home/<yourpathere>/pyprofibus-linuxcnc-hal

if it can't find the file then there is something wrong with the filename.
