Hi
Hope you can help.
I have a Mesa 5i25 card for my Unix computer. I have it installed but Peter at Mesa told me I need to upgrade the firmware. I downloaded the zip file but I don't know which file I need to use to upgrade it. Also I have never used Linux before.
I have emailed Peter but have not heard back. I called today and got no answer.
I can not find any instructions on how to update the firmware.
I will include a picture of my BOB.
I hope you can help me with this. I really need to get this machine going.
I was also wondering if you knew anyone that had a post processor for Linux that would work with VisualMill 5
This has been a long road tring to get this machine going.
Thanks

Please edit the post above and remove the e-mail and links to "cleardot.gif"

I would guess the firmware with "5abob" in the name should do just fine.

You would use 5ABOB firmware for that particular breakout
If you unzip the 5i25.zip file from Mesa and then CD to the configs/hostmot2 directory, you will have all the firmware files accessible:
The you run:
sudo mesaflash --device 5i25 --readhmid
To verify that the card is present and accessible before
attempting a firmware update
and then run
sudo mesaflash --device 5i25 --write 5i25_5ABOBx2.bit
sudo mesaflash --device 5i25 --reload

You could use my Mesa Configuration tool to flash the firmware...
