missing or bad repository was created by Gorts Revenge
My installation of Debian crashed and died so I put in a new SSD and started over.  Everything seemed OK until I started trying to add some python modules and a development environment, when it became clear that I can't add anything at all.  I can't even do an update, though it did execute an upgrade.  The error I'm getting says that LIVE/INSTALL Binary 20220920 does not have a release file so it can't be updated securely and the repository has been disabled. I did take a peek at the problem repositories in nano, it just lists "deb cdrom:[Debian GNU/Linus 10 _Buster_-Official Snapshot amd64 LIVE/INSTALL blah, blah blah"] The only noteworthy hiccup in the installation was an inability to auto-configure the Dynamic Host Configuration and I just checked the "do it later" box.  Has anyone seen anything like this before or have any ideas?  Something weird in BIOS maybe?

It wouldn't do a full update using either sudo apt update or sudo apt-get update. It would only hang up on the LIVE/INSTALL repository issue.
I actually scrubbed the system again and reinstalled using an ethernet cable tied directly to a network hub so I'd get the full Linux mirror during install. That resolved the LIVE/INSTALL problem so I figure there must be some code blobs at the mirror that aid in removing the LIVE/INSTALL files? The mesa connection and CNC are back up and working but that's about all. The wireless network connection isn't working with the internet, only through the terminal, and the python scripts are still a bag of cats. Curiously, I've got Ubuntu installed on a separate drive in the same computer and it runs a million miles an hour. I've resigned myself to regarding the Debian install as a CNC control only but all of the issues are making me a little nervous about long term stability. It's a Dell 3620 workstation, I thought they had a rep for being pretty reliable for this? This one's definitely laboring with it.

Correction:  the wireless connection on that computer is no longer working at all. It says it is but it's a brick.

Buster is a dog and should have been put out of it misery a few years ago
