Move the current file after job done was created by mariusl
Hi,
I asked this question in the Gmoccapy forum and afterwards realized that I should have asked here. I got good answers for the Gmoccapy screens but I dont know how it will work in Plasmac
I want to put a button on the screen that will move the current gcode file to a folder after the operator has cut the job.
Is it possible and how would one approach that if possible?

Regards
Marius

Its not quite the same, but the load latest button might be useful here.
I run Sheetcam on a Windows machine and save the output across the network into the nc_files folder.
THen go to the machine and press load latest.
There are other button options to run an external command which may let you achieve this.

Rod I am still on Plasmac running on Linuxcnc 2.8.4. Don't know if it works the same there. I may have to use the Python interface to linuxcnc and the linuxcnc.stats module to get the file name.
I will have look to do some digging I think.
