G Code/ arc move in concave corner cannot be reached by the tool without gouging was created by Stefan321
Hello,
so after I've managed that my machine is running I have a new problem again. This time the cutter radius correction annoys me.
When I want to work with it, I always get the error,,arc move in concave corner cannot be reached by the tool without gouging,,. I create the programs in Fusion 360.
What I noticed was that if I only entered the radius in the tool table instead of the diameter, the program would run. But the table says diameter.
I read on the internet that you simply put TOLERANCE_MM in the INI. should be entered to set the tolerance, I tested that but it doesn't work because you still have G64 anyway, which also sets the tolerance.
Is there anything else I'm overlooking.
I've also switched from I and J to simple R in Fusion 360, but that doesn't help either. I'm more of a fan of R.

If I understand the problem correctly, cutter comp and arcs can be problematic no matter what controller/cam you are using
Im not familiar with fusion, but
what kind of cutter comp are you using in fusion? wear or control?
how big is your tool compared to the diameter of the arc?
what are the post setting for arc with cutter comp?
what are your lead in/out arc %?

I have already created programs for Estelcam, Mach3 and eding CNC in Fusion 360. I'm also familiar with the fact that I can't cut a 3 radius with a 10 cutter. But if I have a 5 radius I should be able to make it with an 8 cutter. also if there was no radius at all because it was a 90° corner. he simply used the radius of the milling cutter for the other programs.
I only use for finishing, to control
Maximum circular radius 1000
Minimum chord length 0.25
Minimum circular radius 0.01
Tolerance 0.002

Ok, I dont know the answer, but I know what works for me
Try using wear instead of control, and change your diameter in tooltable to like 0.01
Assuming for a finish pass you are using a simple contour operation, change the lead in/out radius to either 100% or 10% of the tool diameter, and play with the lead in/out lengths

Okay i will test it thanks for your help but how about the radius correction can i use - and + then?

yeah, you would use -0.01 or 0.01

Yes it looks like this is working but it doesn't make me entirely happy.
Since every tool is somewhere in the 0 range and you don't see the diameter so quickly. I am aware that there is still the txt field at the back. However, I'm not used to it any differently from my place of work. The professional machines also show the diameter or at least the radius depending on the machine and control.
There are still x and y in the tool table. Can I influence something with these values?
