PyCNC vs LinuxCNC was created by stefan63
Just a thought.....
I have had a look at PyCNC and was thinking since PyCNC is taking advantage of using DMA (Direct Memory Access) instead of RT for control would this be a possible future feature of LinuxCNC as well, maybe as an alternative distro?  This would open up for cheap 3D printer controllers for CNC.

Just a thought.......

Interesting approach.
I think that someone tried to use DMA for stepping on the Pi with LinuxCNC a _long_ time ago, but he went about the whole thing really oddly, including a _really_ half-hearted Indiegogo campaign, (forum.linuxcnc.org/18-computer/20514-emc...y-pi?start=280#51909)
