That should be BookWorm, so yes, RodW made a how to, but the gist of it it
Install Debian BookWorm
Update and upgrade
sudo apt install linuxcnc
That should be all.
Choose the non free version of Debian.
Edit:
As noted by RodW, the non free version of Debian is now the mainstream one.

25 and beyond (everything after 24 Check latency) are 'optional' steps.
25- Only if you need qtvcp and probe basic
26- Only if you need Ethercat
... etc ...

As stated above the install really stops at point 20. I updated the how to to mke this clear.
Some would argue that isolcpus is mandatory (steps 21-23)
latency-histogram (point 24) is the preferred method for looking at latency. If you are using a mesa card or ethercat, you don't use a base thread so we use the parameter --nobase
We use xfce because it is an xorg environment and the default gnome uses the newer wayland environment. Linuxcnc has some problems with wayland so its safer to use a xorg environment. I might add Linuxcnc's issues are generally due to issues in other uptream code.
Tommy, note that in Bookworm, there is now no need to select the non-free version as the alpha version I linked to and the final release when it happens include the non-free code as part of the standard installation.
For others wondering about this non-free mumbo jumbo,Prevoiusly Deban did not include any kernel drivers that did not have source code available. A lot of manufacturers only offer precompiled binaries so often the hardware performs poorly or not at all. Finally, Debian has seen the light.
