Servo Speed was created by OldSQL
Hello,I am considering using the Mesa 7i96s motion control board to provide step and direction signals to AC servo drives. However, i'm concerned that the 1/25 gear box on my motors and the current servo thrill of 800,000 may limit my speed capabilities.
Do you think I can achieve decent speeds with this setup, or will my speed be significantly restricted?

If you meant "servo- thread" then no, the servo thread rate does no affect the maximum
step rate. With a hardware stepgen, the maximum step rate is usually limited by the drives
minimum step times rather than the interface hardware.
