Novice question - sanity check - ignoring Z and M-S-T codes was created by rthorntn
Hi,
As a form of sanity check I would love to be able to physically sanity check a program at the press of a button basically by ignoring Z and M-S-T codes, is this possible?
So basically I load the program, set it to ignore Z, M, S, T and run it, the X & Y steppers do there thing but Z doesn't move and the spindle doesn't come on. It would be great, especially for a beginner to see the program cutting air?
Thanks.
Richard

Copy the existing config, rename it to whatever_test or whatever_sim, edit the ini file to have the Z scaling 100 times smaller (should be more than enough), edit the hal file by deleting the spindle output, and set the toolchange to not wait for confirmation.
