Ethercat IO Module was created by akg1904
Hi,
I have Deiwu Ethercat IO module with 16input and 16 output, as far as I remember I think Rodw also is using same IO module,
if possible can anyone tell me if I can extend the number of inputs and outputs in above mentioned IO module.
Regards
Abhishek

Deiwu is one of the two Chinese units I've played with. I have a xml file in my repo.
If your want expansion, buy another one. (Or buy Beckhoff hardware)

Hi Rodw,
You've been very helpful. Thank you so much.
So I went though your repo and found the xml file you were talking about, but I couldn't find the xml or name of the other Chinese Ethercat IO module. Could you please tell me the name of the Manufacturer or the model number?
Also I saw the cost of the Beckhoff and Deiwu modules and the Deiwu is significantly cheaper so I think I will go with it but its also not all that cheap as well.
Do you know if it's possible to add a Breakout Board(BOB) or something similar to Deiwu Ethercat IO module?
If possible can you please give me some hint on how we can achieve the same.
Thanks and Regards
Abhishek

The other I/O board comes from Rtelligent. I also use their drives. It has good documentation and can also do PWM.

YOu should find it on aliexpress
The other one which also has a few extra features including encoder input is this one but I have not tried it.

You don't need a BOB, just use the inputs and outputs
