Linuxcnc 2.8.4
Metric Mode
Diamiter programing on
Gui Axis

Using Lathe mode on Axis and tooledit as the tool table editor

i have some long tools 200+mm in the X (its a dual turret tool posts on X slide, Z can be long lengths also as machine is quite large 500mm Swing over bed ,
anways

when you edit a tool length of say 300.xxx it starts to round up the numbers when you save the file and do a reload in Axis GUI, the display at bottom shows the round up oddly but id exspect that there, but when you reopen the tooledit editor it has rounded up the values and displays the round up and not the value you just entered into the table, so when you try to edit the tool by the micron value you cant.

the machine is in Metric mode and diamiter programing.

has any one else noticed this? for now i am just editing the table via text editor and saving and reloading in the GUI and problem is no more.

thanks, rob

How odd. It seems to allow at least 8 decimals for 0.xxxx... but 300.xxx... is rounded to only 3 places.

Can you raise this as a bug here?
