motion.adaptive-feed reverse is limited, just a few lines. can i change this limit to much or unlimited?

I found an old developer comment, probably still true:
emc-developers.narkive.com/Vskjwlkm/reverse-run
- Be able to reverse run up to about 20 segments
- only allow exact-stop motion in reverse (adding blending is a much
bigger change)
- Do not allow reversing through spindle-sync moves or at-speed moves
looks like later it was changed to 100 segments.
