(help)5 axis cnc build was created by Diaeelhaq
hi everyone
i want to build a 5 axis cnc machine type (head head) in order to work just on foam , my workspace will be 700mm/700mm/700mm
for the software i would like to use linuxcnc and powermill also i have a little experience on fusion 360 i have just a simple version (personal use )
for powermill i have installed 2019 version and it say (multiaxis enabled)
i have done some little research but it seem that there is a lot to do , post processor , creating mtd file for my machine , ...
also i have an experience with 3 axis , good experience but with mach3 and nc studio , so i think i have some basic
the only things that i can do is build the machine , but after i have no ideas what to do with controller (linuxcnc ,...)
i want to do like this but i will not use the same controller

I don't have a 5axis machine but I have created a few 5axis kinematic models for simulation configurations in linuxcnc.
I would recomend to find a spare PC and install Debian Bookworm and install linuxcnc from the package manager. Then you can try the simulation configurations and get a feeling of how things may work out for you.
