Hi, I have an installation that has been running fine for about 3 years, this morning however LinuxCNC will not allow me to reset the estop button so I can power up? Never seen this before, it is probably something simple but I am at a loss. I downloaded the LinuxCNC Status file and have attached it here if anybody can look it over and determine anything useful. Thanks in advance,HH

Do you have an external estop switch or other external signals connected in hal?

Could you also post your hal and ini file?

have you checked this pin in the 'halshow' tool to see if you can toggle the state using your external hardware?

"can toggle the state using your external hardware?"

When I originally installed this system I did not hook up an E-Stop to the Mesa board because the entire area is protected with a light curtain that shuts down everything. The CNC is just part of a larger system. Therefore I was thinking that I didn't have any external hardware connected to that input...but I do. Its not an E-Stop but I wired the Ultrasonic knifes controller enabled signal to it to stop in the event that the knife faulted. That was the issue. I am not onsite with the machine and the customer has been sending me info this morning. They did not tell me that the Ultrasonic knife had a fault on it.

Thanks for the help!

HH
