So I am new here to this forum, but have been watching the posts, as I sometimes have questions. I have one now and would love any input . Last nigh we had a planned power outage in our area. I made sure to turn off all the computers in the house but did not shut down the cnc. I was tinking it was not booted up although it must have been. This morning I walked into the shop and could hear the stepper motors humming. That is odd I thought. I went over to the PC and found the computer not on but the controller was.I turned on the computer and tryed to home the cnc. I got and error saying I had a " z limit switch error" I tried using the probotix over ride limits function and by the time I was done had two errors for both x and z axis. Long ago I had a similar problem and was able, due to a post on the internet I found, clear all settings back to factory setting but have not been able to find the info. Can anyone out there help a guy with very little experience is solving these self induced dilemmas.

Some pictures or video would probably help.
In the meantime, check the power supplies if you have a DVM, check the LED's are on if they are supposed to be on, use the "show hal configuration" from the "machine" menu to watch the homing/limit sensors input pins.
