Hello, I hope this is the right place to ask for help, I am on linux 2.9 pre and I was trying to make the pendant XHC WHB04B-6 to work following a tutorial by talla83 on youtube.
Seems that the driver had to be updated for linuxcnc 2.9 so I tried, but it didn't work so I started messing with permisions and at the end I couldn't even launch a terminal, then I just unplugged and restart, and now appears on the screen the following:
Enter help for a list of built in commands
(initramfs)
Did I brick it or can be saved somehow?
Thanks in advance

Reinstalling everything will be much faster that trying to fix permissions.
The initramfs is very limited so would need booting from a live ISO and mounting the whole file system as chrrot then fixing stuff. Not easy at all, either.
Stopping at initramfs means there is something wrong with system permissions, not just user permissions. When only user permissions are wrong it gets to cli user login and can or can not login, depending on the severity of user folder issues/mess.

You are welcomed, always.
Linux is very good as it can be fully installed and running in under half hour on any PC, so i do not bother fixing anything anymore.
