I was thinking of going to bookwork, that might help latency but I can't be sure that will help. Otherwise I'll just reinstall 2.8.4 again as that didn't have any issues.
I did read that rtapi is used for a simulated environment, so would it be related to the fact that I created a simulated machine program first? - because I did so this.
