Linuxcncrsh - set mode mdi every time? was created by Daddio
Hi all,
I'm connected to my machine via linuxcncrsh. Every time I move I need to first set the mode to MDI by sending SET MODE MDI command which I then follow with a SET MDI G1X1Y1, for example. After the first dozen moves or so this becomes a real pain. Is there a way to persistently set the mode to MDI?
Thanks!

I have not heard of this as a problem before, so don't know if you are seeing normal behaviour.
Possibly changing the teleop mode might help (but this is just a proposed experiment)
What mode is the system resetting to each time? Is there a GUI on the other end? does changing the mode in that have any affect? Some GUIs might habitually switch mode at the end of an MDI move.
