Hi,
I have a 5-axis machine running on Ethercat and everything seems to be fine.
But I have a doubt
I have Absolute Encoder motors and I have specified that in my INI file by addingABSOLUTE_ENCODER = 1HOME_ABSOLUTE_ENCODER = 1
But during homing on C-axis why it rotates as many turns as it has taken during a G-code program. Why can't it just go to home position in single turn as C-axis is rotational axis(360 degree).
Regards
Abhishek

That all seems correct, that is the way an absolute encoder/system should work, it will always home to whatever value it was set as home.
Maybe there is a way to reset the home value, but i do not know about it.
Edit:
Removing HOME_ABSOLUTE_ENCODER = 1 would probably make it possible to use "immediate homing", if that is something that works for you.
