Made my first(of many) first cut. How do I change the bit and return to the origin(G54) of where I started for my next cut with different bit?
Using Fusion 360 if it matters. Screen shots follow.

WCS: (Block 1: G54 G28 G0 Z0, Block 2: X0Y0)
MCS: (Block 1: G53 G0 Z0, Block 2: X0Y0)

Not sure what you're asking...

I think that you just answered my question.

If I turn my machine off(I am saving coords to file) am I correct that after homing I can still get back to my G54 coords without a touch off?

If you're making reference to the POSITION_FILE feature, then yeah that's the principle. Given nothing moved between a cold restart you should be able to regain WCS (close anyway, less the backlash and thermal deviation from where you left off, guessing).

Heard the boyz on F360 run probe start-up macros for their parts' WCS. On-machine probing for validation and all that fun automation you should look into this.
