paralel port do not worke

Hi, I have installed LinuxCNC on my Lenovo ThinkCentre Edge 72 from 2012. The problem is that I can't get any response from the parallel port nor from "Axis" or the parallel port tester. I have no idea where to start.

If it's anything like a M72e you'll need a genuine Lenovo Parallel Port cable, otherwise it wont show up in the BIOS.

1. Does your parallel port appear if the BIOS settings (you'll have to look in the Lenovo manual for that)

2. try sudo dmesg | grep parport
