XYZAB configuration was created by rajsekhar
I am in the middle of making of a 5axis plasma cutter.
Now I have two idea. 1)XYZAB 2)XYZBC
Machine schematic diagram attached.
Question 1)which one is better of the above two configuration? if any body has used such before, please share experience.
Question 2) what linuxcnc configuration is best for this two machine? I have go through rotating/tilting table type, but here it is tool tilting only.
Question 3) Does Linuxcnc PlasmaC/ Qtplasma support such 5 axis machine?

Have a look at the 'vismach/5axis/bridgemill' simulation config for an XYYZBC kinematics
There is also an XYZAB spindle-rotary-tilt kinematic I made a while ago for somebody:
forum.linuxcnc.org/38-general-linuxcnc-q...head?start=60#276636
This would need to be installed using 'halcompile', also the second Y axis would need to be added to the kinematic which should be fairly easy to do.
The same goes for these kinematics ( two 6axis kinematics with two toolside rotations and one workside rotation) but these may give you more than you really need.

Well, I want to understand how a five or six axis configuration is made.
With pncconfig, XYZA is possible. But how to go beyond that?

Beyond that you have to manually copy/paste and modify the hal and ini files.
