I need help

Hi Guys

I am at a loss getting this thing to run. It is not a hobby for me I just need it to work. I am using a Probotix computer, Probotix controller and Probiotix black stepper motors. I have no need of limit switches, no home switches, ability to add later maybe. I need help, I can give the pitch of the feed screws. The table is about 25x25". Can anyone help me?

I was running this on Linuxcnc and not sure what happened, and it was years ago now but it died on me. It started out made by Larken and going through a number of new steppers etc. The original machine was made about 2000. The machine is a 3 axis CNC Router. All the mechanics are in good shape and the machine has done a pile of work for me. I do all the CAD and CAM work myself. I cut everything from fiberglass to aluminium, wood and etc.

Does your PC boot?
Does your controller turn on?
Can they talk....Can you get any motion at all?
Where is it not working? You said mechanical is ok but nothing about electronics or software.

The PC boots fine, the controller turns on (I hear the/a motors energise) I have no movement but the config files have not been configured, its an up to date Linux CNC.

TAke a pic of your controller so we can point ya in the right direction.

If I had to guess try building the config with stepconf. You will need to know how your machine is wired.

I will get that off to you. Once it moves I will have better idea of what to change in the config files
