Hi...new to linuxcnc...just got up and running but now am looking to set up panel that shows 9 axis that can be jogged... am using 7i96s mesa with firmware that supports 9 axis but am lost as to configure panel through pncconf..??

pncconf will likely only let you configure 4 axes so you would have to manually copy/modify the other 5 in the generated hal and ini files

AxisGUI has a simple interface that lets you select the axis and then you can use the '+' and '-' buttons to jog.

I saw something like that in the linuxcnc...but I do not see how to connect to mesa 7i96s board ....is it possible?

The GUI has no direct connections to the hardware,
so the GUI is basically hardware independent.
That is, parallel port, EtherCAT, Remora, Mesa
etc are all the same GUI wise.
You _do_ need hardware specific hal/ini support for all axis
