Probe Basic / Touch Probe was created by crazycajun
when i try to open probe basic it crashes before fully loading and gives an error.

can gmoccapy use the probe or does it have to be in probe basic?
i have it wired to a input and selected as probe in the config but it the only pid i found in hal show never triggers. the probe light isnt green either, so i may have two issues.

According to the log your graphics card is the reason why Probe Basic doesn't start.

Probe Basic requires a OpenGL 3.2 and pixel shader 1.5 capable graphics card.2024-09-10 16:14:08.613 ( 5.246s) [ A8C6040] vtkShaderProgram.cxx:438 ERR| vtkShaderProgram (0x86b5790): 0:1(10): error: GLSL 1.50 is not supported. Supported versions are: 1.10, 1.20, and 1.00 ES

Yes it is.
The issue seems to be you have a new Linux/GLSL driver with an older version of VTK.

It depends on which integrated graphics you have, they come in many different varieties.

That's Core 2 Duo/Quad era hardware.

Unfortunately the built in graphics in those chipsets don't support the required pixel shader version. So a separate graphics card needs to be installed.

I found that out myself last winter while CNC converting my mill...
