Decent servo suppliers and recommendations

I'm looking for a small servo motor and drive combo and I'm just not having much luck.
I think I sold myself on yaskawa, but the few companies I've reached out to either will get back to me with a quote(it's friday, i get it) or haven't been helpful. I asked one company about driver dimensions and was told to google it...

So I figured I'd see if anybody had any opinions or suggestions.

I've heard the ebay seller industrialpartsshop is a good source but I'm nervous about pairing the correct motors and drives, since they sell them separate, although I haven't asked to see if they'll help with that yet.

I would definitely consider other brands, but yaskawa and delta seem like the best choices to me. I wouldn't mind paying a little more to a company that doesn't mind answering a few questions or is based in the us.

My mesa card sends analog signals so I like the idea of getting analog compatible drives. I know that step/dir and ethercat are possibilities, but I don't know any reasons why I shouldn't stick with analog.

Delta is easily found for very cheap online and has a good reputation. Hard to beat for value from a top end supplier.

Lichuan makes some lower priced kits people are trying out (ethercat as well as step/dir). I have not seen any on an actual linuxcnc machine running yet though.

That's leadshine. A potential option here, but their prices are way too high.

Yaskawa will be $$$

Buy matched motor sets
Do not bother buying separate motor and driver and trying to match them

I am happy enough with Delta for the price point. They have decent manual however still easy enough to find bits that are not clear. Delta tuning software is OK.

Modern servos are very complex and configurable when you get into the nitty gritty.

Lichuan cheaper but documentation poor.

I can also recommend Delta, I'm using their servos for all axis and the spindle with very good results. Purchased them from AliExpress. All the documentation and utilities for them are available on the Delta website. The manual is over 1200 pages.

DMM?

www.dmm-tech.com

I seem to recall that there was an issue with their analogue voltage control on the Dyn3 drive (I have never actually used them)
But I think that they are familiar enough with LinuxCNC to be able to advise if you contact them (they are in Canada)

DMM
Vague memory that analog is an issue due to delay in output of the encoder signals from the drive. So closing the loop in LinuxCNC was not workable because it was too slow / delayed
(step/dir not an issue as the loop closed within the drive and there was no delay issue there)

For a new servo setup, I would go ethercat servos.
Sell the Mesa board (there is plenty of demand for Mesa).

I would only buy servos with software available for setting parameters and tuning.
Setting multiple parameters with the few buttons on the drive is awful.
