Hello all!
I am using Linuxcnc, which came with the machine, and I am also using Easel as CAM/CAD software.
I managed to get the G code to load, but it's showing me this inverted image.
I use Easel for my designs, but something is off unless it's just me doing the config wrong.
Additionally, i am trying to home axis but it's just telling me that switches are inactive with a grunt.
I can move the machine manually but I'm afraid config stuff feels like space magic x3 I am very new to this world and a lot of terms don't make much sense to me tbh. I am a Windows user primarily and Linux caught me off guard
Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
Surely a noob like me can figure this old cranky Elizabeth out.

Several things might be off here:
-the gcode produced by Easel is set as "center 0,0", while almost all machines normally use "lower left 0,0"
-the machine is set as "home 0,0" to upper right, almost all use "lower left 0,0"
-Homing is not set properly
Is this an existing config that worked at any point in time or is this a new and untested config?
If the latter, open file explorer and in the EMC2 folder then configs folder, check if there is another existing config.

Hello
So i just had a look for the EMC2 folder. it only had one file Rtapi.conf on it.
Following your thread i looked at Config files and found 3.
i loaded the eldest one and then loaded my file and it showed proper '' lower left 0.0'' Orientation!!
Nice. Now.. i just need to test the homing procedure.
as for the existing config. This machine was used at some point but way before me getting it. So im working on configs that were set by the previous operator and god knows what they did. I wanted to learn how to set up my own config but i got into a bit of language barrier..
But thank you! It pointed me in the right direction!
Thank you!
