I am learning to programme Gcode for turning manually instead of using Fusion 360 CAM now. Learning Canned cycles now, they feel like a blessing. I was learning G71, I read in the manual that G71.1 doesn't do pockets, whereas G71.2 does them. Why do we need G71 and G71.1/G71.2 separately? Is there anything that G71 cannot do that needs to be done separately using G71.1/G71.2?
