If you post up the wiring a d function diagrams for your tool changer i could help, but it's more complicated than just hooking up hal pins

I can make a simple configuration for 2 tools with a sensor for each tool with a carousel component. I can for 7i92+7i77 or 7i96s, because I have such cards to check. I think this will be enough for understanding. Which is better?

I created two configurations for 7i96s. One on the carousel component, the other on the ladder. The ladder works fine with Remap T and Ignore m6, just like when changing tools manually. When working with the carousel component, Remap T throws an error "M6: no tool prepared". Remap M6 = Ignore M6 - does not work at all, since Remap M6 is already used. In the configuration, these functions are disabled in the ini file.

are you just trying to use 2 tools on one station without operating the turret ?
?

The complexity of the algorithm and the number of tools does not matter. I made 2 tools to easily simulate the situation.
Now I made it on a ladder, improved it so that it works in two directions and works clearly and does not skip tools.
On the carousel component it would be easier.

operating the turret is different from using carousel. Carousel will help to detect and operate the motor to select the position of the turret, but the remainder of the logic will have to exist outside of the carousel component.

Even while the carousel component is running, it is impossible to stop the process (in MDI mode, there is a cross in the lower right corner), only the program can be completely turned off. Even if an error occurs, for example, the tool search time has expired.

I've been trying to explain this for sometime, what would really really help, is if you shared your configuration, wiring diagrams and setup files. I really can't help you unless you post these things up. No one here can help you without seeing all of those things.

I have placed a simplified version of the configuration on the example of one of the most common 7i96s boards, as well as a diagram. They work just like the more complex options.
