Testing CSS was created by Murphy
Im trying to test if my CSS is working. Encoder setup and counting A  B and index. When I enter
G96 D1500 S250
G1 X-10
Spindle starts and goes straight to 1500rpm. When X moves, the spindle stays at 1500 and does not adjust. Iv attached my ini and hal files. Am i missing something in the ini and hal files? I'm new to CNC so I'm trying to figure it out. I have spindle at speed set true. Index is working when i set it to true in halshow and move the spindle by hand until index is hit and goes false..

I have gotten the spindle to react in CSS it's doing the opposite getting slower as x moves in. But I'm more concerned about the spindle speed changing is not smooth. Everytime it's adjusting the speed it jerks and it's not smooth. Video clip below.

Thanks for the reply,  I didn't have x on center , that sorted the direction issue. The speed fluctuations iv noticed when I am manually changing the spindle speed in the axis gui the 10v analog input is rock solid. Once the machine is in CSS and every time it changes speed the voltage drops before coming up to the correct voltage. This seems to be my issue. The more speed corrections when the axis is moving , the spindle goes so low it nearly stops. But obviously once the voltage goes back up it goes to the correct speed. Any ideas why the 10v signal drops so low on every speed change in CSS ?

CSS is using spindle.speed-in to do something, correct? What does the control loop look like for that? Does it influence the speed-out based on the speed-in feedback or something with the feed based on speed-in?
