Thank you for this. That did the trick, but I have a couple of questions.
How am I running a raspberry pi all of a sudden?
And
Is it possible to install a nvidia graphics card and still use Linuxcnc?
Thanks again

You are not, it is a remnance of a Debian f@kup that is still dragging on.How am I running a raspberry pi all of a sudden?
Most probably not, proprietary NVIDIA drivers did not work at all on RT-Preempt kernel last i tried over a year ago.Is it possible to install a nvidia graphics card and still use Linuxcnc?
