Yaskawa servo stops abruptly during homing on shared switch was created by GDTH
I’m currently working on a Busellato Jet 2 CNC machine. This machine uses a shared limit switch and home switch. Normally this wouldn’t be a problem in LinuxCNC, but the Yaskawa servo drives are wired in such a way that they disable any further movement in one direction once the switch is hit.The result is that during homing the servo stops abruptly, which forced me to increase the following error tolerance. Is there a better way to handle this situation? Would you recommend disabling this behavior in the servo drive, or is there a LinuxCNC-side approach to improve it?

One way would be to add limit switches and connect them just to the drive
leaving the home switches for LinuxCNC.
leaving the home switches for LinuxCNC.
