Exciting! I'd recommend your bend list has a angle adjustment setting. set your first bend to underbend and then add some adjustment as different batches of steel can vary. Then on the job, assuming you have a batch of identical parts, tweak the adjustment field on the first bend to get it perfect. also your gui should let you set the upper and lower tool dimensions, material and thickness. Armed with all that, the maths is available to calculate the stroke length automatically.

Some screenshots of my first shot at this. In the bend editor, clicking the bend angle setting will open a whole new page with dies and steel selection. Which will auto-fill most of the remaining values below it.
Now I think I should indicate on the main screen what dies and plates are selected.

looking good. In the commercial software I used, they defined a list of upper and lower tools and material.
So then when you defined a job, you included tools and material so you could save for later. Over time I tweaked my regular jobs so they were perfect. Mainly tweaking that back gauge position.

Nice, thank you.
From reading i was thinking it is a smaller machine, but no, this would be medium sized press brake from my experience, as i had to deal with a 48 ton (weight) one.
