Does Sim Axis use the realtime thread? was created by Maglin
I ask because I've isolated CPU1 which is my 2nd core. And when I fire up the latency tester I see activity on that Core and then it goes away as it doesn't require anything I guess. I thought that would mean since CPU1 is isolated for RT work that EMC2 would be running on CPU1. Does it only run on CPU1 or the RT cpu when it is actually hooked up to equipment or not running one of the simulated machines?

AFAIK you should never see activities on an isolated core within a linux tool, because the activities are not known to linux.
Thats my own experience and thats how it was reported in another forum.
