real-time kernel 2.6.32-122-rtai was created by ahab8783
I recently put a Linux system together to run a DIY 5-axis CNC machine I've been working on. From my research online, it appeared that emc2 was the best software choice for what I was needing. anyways, I've installed emc2 but when i go to run the program, I get an error message that says "EMC2 requires the real-time kernal 2.6.32-122-rtai to run. Before running EMC2, reboot and choose this kernel at the boot menu." What is this "boot menu" and how do i access it? As you might already notice, I'm brand new to Ubuntu so please no uber-technical terms.
thanks in advance

The easy way is to install EMC using the LiveCD.
If you installed EMC another way and have not installed the real time kernel EMC will not run.
The boot menu is when you start up you see something like press Esc for menu.
